The Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Service currently provides coverage at two locations in Victoria, those being Melbourne International Airport in Tullamarine and Avalon Airport located near Lara.
The Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Service generally uses a nation-wide Network Access Code (NAC) of A5A for it’s Tait P25 communications system based on a Voting Network.
It’s primary radios are generally made up of 3 UHF Channels those being; Repeater, Direct & National Simplex. Melbourne appears to have an additional frequency registered for use and this may be because of the Airservices Australia Learning Academy being located at Melbourne also.
In addition to their UHF P25 System they also make use of a nation-wide VHF AM Aircraft band frequency for ARFF to Aircraft Cockpit communications.
